I am blind of the famed Swiss crafter, whose hands, chime behind the illustrious glow,
of clustered diamond hours,
but see spent eyes in concrete silos,
manning filthy buttons; for three decades,
while breathing his lungs away.

I am deaf of its silent movements,
sealed in circular walls of milky gold,
but hear the rumble of her barren stomach,
crouched under the sun of dead summer,
trading kale, green onions; and her life,
for kin morsels and fees.
