Kenyans are permanently saying how a new constitution will change our future. Are there no reactions to this document?

calling Tom Cruise written by trrrrrrr , November 17, 2009
I think we've been set up for Mission Impossible 3. It would have been much better to go with a mini-constitution that had none of the contentious issues, and then to let Parliament battle through such issues as division of powers, boundary reviews, Kadhi courts, etc.
Also a little silly and unnecessary of the CoE to say marriage should be between hets only. How about just saying what Kenyan rights are, and leaving it at that?

where do views go? written by k'ojacko , November 20, 2009
I suppose I am missing something, but what is the mechanism for the absorption, consideration, weight, etc of whatever views Kenyans give?
It is already clear for example that many of us favour either the Presidential or the Parliamentary systems. Will there be a referendum? How do we count the views, account for the nuances in those views? Will anyone really be satisfied with this at all? Will it even be good for Kenya?
