You have to hope, even if hope is a lie…

(Updated)

"I want to make ME happy... but I don’t know how. Have you ever seen that cartoon Alice in Wonder Land? Where she falls into the hole? Well, I feel like I have fallen into that hole and I cant get out.

Yet I try so hard, I try really, really, hard to get out and I cant seem to do it.Thing is, I don’t believe anymore that there is anything better than this (LIFE).

I don’t think that anyone will love me and care like I want be loved… Not even God. I think God hates me, I don’t know why."

By HELEN REMUS

From the Movie 'THE CAPTURE OF THE GREEN RIVER KILLER.'

(That particular statement above had me sobbing like her pain was my very on personal pain, so tragic for this girl who fought hard to live life).

For nearly 20 years, the Green River Killer haunted Washington State with a series of shocking murders.  The story is told through the eyes of one young runaway, Helen Remus, whose  fate, bad luck and unwise choices lead to her encounter with the notorious serial killer.

So yesterday, I watched the movie "THE CAPTURE OF THE GREEN RIVER KILLER" and its based on a very TRUE STORY. I totally drowned my blankets in tears as the main character Helen Remus narrates the sad story on how she made choices that led to her demise when she was captured by the serial killer- Gary Leon Ridgway.

At first, Helen believes that God doesn't exist and decides that her fate in life is in her own hands. By believing that she is in control of what can and cannot happen in her life, she actually makes decisions that take a tragic turn because she ends up meeting the serial killer, something that she had not planned on in the 1st place. So Gary Leon Ridgway ends up killing her just like all the other women he killed for 20 straight years.

As the story goes on, its actually Hel's spirit narrating the story as a flashback and, in the end she gives this really beautiful ending statement to the very tragic event that went on for two good decades, but Gary Leon Ridgway was finally apprehended. Attributing it to the fact that Detective Dave Reichert never gave up searching for 20 years (TRUE STORY).

Thats how she concludes that God intends for everything to happen just the way it happens, GOD is in control of when we are given life and when we lose that same fragile life.

The rest of the NOTE is inspired by HEL's expression & I have tried to paraphrase as much as I can off the top of my mind (from watching the movie). But, most of it expresses personal feelings about life and stuff that I ask myself sometimes about people, about my experiences and just LIFE in general.

How can all the bad things happen and why does God let it happen?

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Why do bad things happen to good people over and over again?

Eventually pushing the very same good people off the edge?

I used to think that God didnt exist or that he existed but he just didnt care.

I didnt believe that anyone wanted to help me... but I was wrong.

You have to believe...

You have to believe that someone cares,

Even if noone gives a damn about you.

Who cares what anyone thinks?

It makes you happy, so what does it matter?

So what if you look like an idiot?

You have to HOPE... Even if HOPE is a lie.

If given a choice between FATE and HOPE,

Choose HOPE.

HOPE lets you breath a little easier.

(By Hel)

The rest of the NOTE is My Person Note Inspired by the True Story Of Hel but expresses my personal thoughts, opinions &feelings.

LUCK, FATE, GOD, MAGIC BALLS, isnt it all the same thing?

When ugly, terrible things happen, is that bad luck? or is that fate?

Do you believe in FATE? Or,

Do you believe in LUCK?

You dont choose Luck, its just something that happens.

Is LOVE  fate or choice?

How much control do we have over our lives?

Of the choices we make how many are truly choices and how many are fate already pre-determined?

Our mistakes are predetermined by FATE then are NOT bad choices.

So we end up killing ourselves over something that we have absolutely no control over.

Sometimes our bad choices can and will affect other people.

Especially people who LOVE us the most.

All the bad choices eventually meet up at a spider web of CHANCE.

Chance is where we struggle and do our best to escape.

Is it possible then, that we can control our fates?

Against terrible odds we can make things happen?

There really is a plan for all the stuff that happens to all of us.

Like meeting all the people that we meet in life.

Doing all the things that we do in life.

Its fate with a little bit of choice mixed in.

Still with fate or without it… life goes on.

GOD has the rest planned out, we just have to live life by FAITH.

I do believe in GOD!!

I believe that I am part of God’s great and grand plan.

Would God let ME down?

Would God let US down?

Would God let YOU down?

Would HE?

No matter what,GOD is in control, if you don't believe this, and you don't believe in the love that GOD gave his only Son Jesus Christ to died for us, then your Hope,is in vain.

Exploit the moment
written by Otieno Adipo , March 27, 2009
When you fall into a hole however abysmal it may seem; and you can't get out of it - you can use that moment to exploit the dark inside of the hole and discover what mortal men have failed to discover. As for God,if you believe he exists - continue believeing; if you don't believe he doesn't exist - continue the same way because the difference is the same; but be warned that there is a difference between knowledge and belief; you you need the latter in order to achieve the former afterwhich you can discard the latter...it sounds complex just like the problem of God...

Its through our darkest moments in life that we find out how strong we really are, and we wouldnt know to cherish happiness if we didnt go through all the rough patches in life. The way I look at it, pressure makes diamonds and the beauty of that statement comes from the fact that all humans beings are so resilient and we always bounce right back up no matter what!!
